yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 3:59 p.m. PDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rain. These thunderstorms are located 16 km west of Fauquier and are headed northeast at 30 km/h. Areas in the path include: Echo Lake Park, Highway 6 between Cherryville and Monashee Pass, and Fauquier. ### Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Road conditions are available at https://www.drivebc.ca/.
