yellow warning - severe thunderstorm - in effect At 3:45 a.m. CDT (3:45 a.m. EST, 4:45 a.m. EDT), Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain. Thunderstorm Location: extending from Mattawa Lake to Dovetail Lake Motion: Moving east at 50 km/h Hazards: Wind: damaging (90 - 110 km/h) Hail: up to quarter size (up to 2.5 cm) Rain: heavy (15 - 50 mm) Locations in the Path: Dovetail Lake Gulliver Lake Selwyn Lake Bishop Lake Scotch Lake Steep Rock Lake Marmion Lake Wawang Lake Weaver Lake Pakashkan Lake ### Damage to roofs, fences, soft shelters or trees is likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility. There is a risk of injury. Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain. Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
