Only isolated road closures areexpected. Water may reach the dune line or sea wall alongvulnerable beaches. Rip currents can sweep even the bestswimmers away from shore into deeper water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides this weekend will occur in thelate morning and late evening hours.Onshore winds and above normal tides will combine to generateflooding of low areas along the shore. Do not drive aroundbarricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessaryactions to protect flood-prone property.Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly awayfrom shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in thesandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties andpiers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags andsigns.Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a ripcurrent, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. Ifable, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable toescape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
