Flood Warning issued July 8 at 8:30PM CDT until July 9 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI * WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southern Mower County in southeastern Minnesota... * WHEN...Until 700 AM CDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water to persist into the overnight hours. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 825 PM CDT, local law enforcement reports numerous city streets are flooded and closed. Interstate 90 at 11th drive is closed. Flooding is ongoing. Between 4.5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Austin, Adams, Rose Creek, Dexter, Mapleview, Elkton, County Roads 56 And 5, Varco and Riverbend Campground. - This includes Interstate 90 in Minnesota between mile markers 175 and 194. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
