Flood Advisory issued July 10 at 6:46AM CDT until July 10 at 9:45AM CDT by NWS Memphis TN * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of West Tennessee, including the following counties, Henry, Lake, Obion and Weakley. * WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 646 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Martin, Union City, Reelfoot Lake State Park, Tiptonville, Dresden, South Fulton, Ridgely, Troy, Obion, Sharon, Cottage Grove, Clayton, Latham, Palmersville, Hornbeak, Woodland Mills, Rives, Samburg, Shaffner and Gibbs. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
