Movement was southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rutland, Chester, Middlebury, Woodstock, Cornwall, Sudbury, Killington, Salisbury, Ludlow Village, Rutland City, Wallingford, Orwell, Rutland - Southern Vermont Airport, Benson, Plymouth, Chittenden, West Rutland, Whiting, Ira, and West Castleton. This includes Interstate 91 between mile markers 39 and 47. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM EDT for southern Vermont.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and powerlines. * Locations impacted include... Rutland, Castleton, Rutland City, Middletown Springs, Wallingford, Mt. Tabor, Rutland - Southern Vermont Airport, Benson, Poultney, Fair Haven, Clarendon, West Rutland, Ira, Wells, West Castleton, Pawlet, Hubbardton, Poultney Village, Mount Tabor, and Tinmouth. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with this storm.
