This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bad River Reservation, the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek area, the northwestern area of the Lac du Flambeau Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Red Cliff Band, the Fond du Lac Band, the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation and the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Big Sandy Lake, Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas. Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Oak Point to Saxon Harbor WI... Outer Apostle Islands Beyond 5 NM from Mainland... Port Wing to Sand Island WI... Sand Island to Bayfield WI... At 552 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Red Cliff to 10 nm southeast of Port Wing Harbor, moving southeast at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. strong thunderstorms will be near... Chequamegon Bay, Red Cliff, La Pointe, Madeline Island, Apostle Islands National Lake Shore, and Basswood Island around 555 PM CDT. Oak Point and Ashland Breakwater Lighthouse around 605 PM CDT. Marble Point around 620 PM CDT. Saxon Harbor around 625 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by strong thunderstorms include Basswood Island, Marble Point, Stockton Island, Maikwe Bay, Brule Point, Hermit Island, Meyers Beach, Bark Bay, Eagle Island, and Bark Point. With dense fog and smoke over the lake, you will not be able to see the storm approaching. See safe harbor immediately. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected.
